Manisan Chamseongdan is known as the place where Dangun (founder of Korea) is said to have offered sacrifices to the heavens. The diameter of the round column at the bottom is 4.5m and the square column on top is 1.98m on each side. The sacred torch for the National Sports Festival is ignited here by the Seven Fairies before being moved to the stadium.
